Decided to jump ahead to the 60's and include more ALCos on the roster. Almost finished with Century 628 #629 in the Snowbird sceme (pics to follow), and have begun to transform an Atlas RS-11 to the LV 401, in the original colors.

Have stripped the body of all the molded on details that will be replaced; the rear end was the most difficult with all the grabs. As pictured, the nose and cab have been replaced with a BDO RS 32/36 piece. Very nice injection from them. The LV units had different vent placements on the long body, so i moved one on each side to match. Also, the boxes aft of the cab were removed/ rebuilt, as per the prototype

Next up: drill holes for grabs, lift rings
